Flow Features New Robotic Waterjet/Saw Cutting System at Coverings 2011

KENT, Wash., February 14, 2011 – Flow International Corporation (NASDAQ: FLOW) will feature the Mach 4r cutting system, designed to improve stone and countertop fabrication productivity, at Coverings 2011, March 14-17. This tile and stone industry tradeshow will be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Both the Mach 4r and Mach 2b will be on display in booth 455.
The Mach 4r, a combination robotic waterjet and saw cutting system with dual cutting zones, will be showcased. The advanced design maximizes a shop's productivity by optimizing countertop cutting and significantly improving operator efficiency.
This combination allows customers to achieve the benefits of precise corner radius and maximum material usage offered by Flow waterjets with fast straight-line cutting of a saw. A highly accurate and dependable robot combined with efficient, field proven software completes the system.
Waterjets are the most versatile and productive machine tool for cutting natural stone, engineered stone, marble or tile, as well as virtually any other material. Live demonstrations on the Mach 2b will show waterjet’s capabilities and demonstrate Flow’s patented UltraPierce™ cutting system specifically designed to pierce fragile or brittle material such as marble, stone and glass.
Application specialists will be on hand to answer questions, and demonstrate how Flow’s waterjet technology can help fabricators expand their capabilities.
